9 Tips on How to Use Propolis
Propolis is a set of resinous substances from plants, pollen, wax and salivary secretions from bees. In this way, for bees, it serves to seal and protect the hive from possible attacks by other insects and from climatic and fungal adversities. For the human body, it is a substance rich in health benefits.
Check out the main tips on how to include propolis in your routine:
1 – Morning Shot: Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon and mix it well with 1 teaspoon of turmeric and 20 drops of propolis extract. If you prefer, you can dilute it with a little water.
2 – Orange juice with lemon: mix the juice of 2 oranges and 1 lemon with 10 drops of propolis extract. Sweeten to taste with honey.
3 – Hot drink: in a pan, place 300 ml of vegetable milk, 4 thin slices of ginger, 1 piece of cinnamon stick. After the milk starts to bubble, boil for another 2 minutes and turn off the heat. Finish with 10 drops of propolis extract, sweeten with honey (optional) and wait for it to cool before drinking.
4 – Skin cleansing: mix about 1 spoon of cornmeal or sugar, 1 and a half spoon of honey and 15 drops of propolis. Exfoliate gently, massaging the skin in circular motions, and rinse.
5 – Hair massage: mix 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil of your choice (coconut, jojoba, grape seed, etc.), 2 drops of rosemary essential oil and 6 drops of propolis. Apply to the scalp and massage gently. Let it act for 15 minutes, and wash your hair normally.
6 – In shampoo: add 15 drops of propolis to 100 ml of your favorite neutral shampoo. You can add essential oils too if you wish. Mix well, and use the shampoo about 3 times a week.
7 – For healing small bruises and pimples: apply one or two drops of propolis extract to the area, between 4 and 5 times a day.
8 – Steam inhalations: you can add a few drops of propolis extract to boiled water and use the mixture when making inhalations.
9 – For sore throat: add 4 drops of propolis extract to 1 cup of water and gargle with the solution. Can be used more than once a day if needed.
